STAGES OF DEVELOPMENT OF THE ECONOMIC MECHANISM FOR ENHANCING THE COMPETITIVENESS OF THE PRIVATE MEDICAL SERVICES MARKET
Abstract
The article examines the formation and development of an economic mechanism for enhancing the competitiveness of the private healthcare services market based on an evolutionary-institutional approach. The interrelated stages of private healthcare development are systematized, including initial marketization, legal institutionalization, expansion of licensing and investment incentives, diversification of high-tech services, digital transformation, and the transition toward a competitive environment based on health insurance and accreditation. It is substantiated that the strengthening of private healthcare support measures in Uzbekistan after 2017 and the introduction, from 2026, of opportunities for both public and private medical organizations to provide services within the framework of state health insurance based on unified basic prices indicate a qualitative transition of the competitive mechanism to a new stage. The author proposes a stage-based periodization of the development of the economic mechanism. Keywords
