DEVELOPING SUSTAINABLE PATHWAYS FOR TEXTILE PRODUCT EXPORTS: A GREEN STRATEGY APPROACH TO ENHANCE SOCIAL WELFARE
Abstract
The global textile industry stands at a crossroads, where the imperative of environmental sustainability converges with the pursuit of economic growth and social well-being. This research paper addresses this juncture by proposing a novel approach to promote the export of textile products through the lens of a green strategy, with a primary focus on enhancing social welfare. In recent years, the textile industry has faced mounting pressure to reduce its ecological footprint. This paper contends that embracing sustainable practices within the industry can serve as a catalyst for export growth, providing a compelling case for aligning economic objectives with environmental stewardship. Through an interdisciplinary analysis, we explore the multifaceted relationships between green strategies, textile exports, and social welfare. The research combines quantitative data analysis and qualitative case studies to uncover the mechanisms through which environmentally responsible textile production can stimulate international demand, create employment opportunities, and enhance the overall well-being of communities involved in the textile value chain. By leveraging the principles of circular economy, renewable energy adoption, and responsible sourcing, we elucidate the pathways that can simultaneously foster economic prosperity and ecological harmony. This paper contributes to both academia and industry by offering insights into the development of sustainable business models in the textile sector, aligning with global goals of sustainable development. The findings underscore the potential of a green strategy to not only bolster textile exports but also to improve the quality of life for individuals and communities involved in this vital industry. Keywords
