About the Scientific School of Labor Economics and Human Capital

The activities of the Scientific School of “Labor Economics and Human Capital” were launched in 2019 on the basis of Decision No. 3 of the Academic Council of Tashkent State University of Economics and Order No. 922 of the University Rector. The Scientific School of “Labor Economics and Human Capital” was founded by Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan Abdurakhmanov Qalandar Khodjaevich.

The main purpose of this scientific school is to study the key trends of socio-economic development within the fields of labor economics and human resource management, to forecast priority directions, and to provide scientific hypotheses and recommendations that contribute to the development of the country.

To date, under the direct scientific supervision of the founder of the school, 16 Doctors of Science and 46 Candidates of Science have been prepared. In addition, more than 30 young researchers are currently conducting scientific studies as members of this school.

Within the framework of the scientific school, the research team is actively engaged in studies on modern and pressing issues such as: the digital transformation of the labor market in the country; labor incentives, motivation, and wages; elimination of forced labor; regulation of migration and demographic processes; “smart economy”; “human capital”; “consumer basket”; “labor relations in the green economy”; “decent work”; changes in the labor market and human capital in the conditions of introducing artificial intelligence; issues of virtual employment, remote work, and unstable forms of employment.

The Scientific School of “Labor Economics and Human Capital” carries out its activities in the areas of scientific-pedagogical work, scientific research, and scientific-production. For this purpose, the school has formed a strong academic potential and a professional research team.
